Learn basic poi tricks and use them to travel and add turns for a dynamic use of space. Tricks to be covered include: Poi-Chi, Planes, Split time spin, overhead spins, 3 Beat, Stalls, Pendulum, Turn development - same time, split time, same direction, split direction: 1/4 turns, 1/2 turns and full turns.

Tricks covered may vary depending on the group (requests accepted). Loaner poi will be available for use. All participants will receive a 13% off coupon for purchasing equipment online. Poi might be available for purchase. Minimum to run workshop: 5 participants.
Future workshops will include:
-Continuing tricks with poi
-Intro to Fire Toys (get a chance to play with 7 different unlit fire toys and see what you like)
-Fire Safety / Intro to Spinning Fire
-Virgin Burn (review of tricks, Fire Safety and an opportunity to spin fire under careful watch)

What level is right for me?
Asyia encourages students to take hardest class that they feel comfortable attending. She feels students are the most motivated when they can pick the right class for their learning style (safe & comfy or aggressive & a little over your head?). If a class level interests you, but is not presently offered, please let Asyia know. New classes are offered based on demand and time slots are based on the availability of the students interested in participating.
